Grasshoppers, Chipmunks and Two-face were just some of the requests made to a team of face-painters from Gloria Jean’s Coffees at the Variety Christmas Party. Thousands of kids with special needs stormed into the Exhibition Centre in the second week of December, at Variety’s Sydney and Melbourne event. Team members from Gloria Jean’s Coffees supported both events by serving coffee to volunteers, parents and carers. A team from Sydney also volunteered to help paint butterflies, spiderman and princesses on hundreds of kid’s faces.

At the Christmas Party, kids had to choose between rides, animals, performances, visits to Santa, hair designs, face painting, pony rides, liberty swings and giant slides.

Meanwhile the queue at the coffee cart was never-ending, as volunteers and parents enjoyed their complimentary coffee and a break from caring for their kids. Even the tele-tubbies stayed around to enjoy a Gloria Jean’s Coffees brew.
