Franchise Partner Testimonials

Chris and John Giovas

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Gymea, NSW

We have been asked many times why we chose to join the Gloria Jeans Family. We started by looking for an industry that was part of the Australian culture, was something that would endure long term and be fun. We settled on coffee and Gloria Jean’s Coffees. We knew that coffee was an integral part of people’s lives and indeed our own. We chose Gloria Jean’s Coffees when we realised that what we needed to succeed was great support and a great business model that was both proven and trusted.

We continue to find the training support and assistance from the Operations team is excellent. Back then we knew little to nothing about running a coffee house let alone growing and managing staff to run the business with us. Nearly five years later we are still experiencing personal growth, the business is growing well and we have had so much fun with our guests.

Graeme Clark

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Epping, Victoria

“It has been such a great journey; there has been a lot to learn and almost of all it has been tremendous fun!”

Ex-primary school teacher Graeme Clark always said that he would open a coffee shop one day. Graeme achieved his goal in October 2007 when he packed in the teaching career and opened his Gloria Jean’s Coffees franchise in Epping, Victoria. Drawn to the franchise by the inviting atmosphere and the support of a well known brand, Graeme has been successfully building his business in the bustling shopping centre where it is located.

What’s his favourite part of the business? The personal relationships that he forms with his guests are the best part of the day according to Graeme.

Steve Leggett

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Narellan, New South Wales

“Gloria Jean’s Coffees puts great emphasis on guest satisfaction and delivering a quality product – I like that.”

Steve joined Gloria Jean’s Coffees as a Franchise Partner in November 2008, after 30 years of independent business ownership. Experienced in managing a newsagency and butchers shop, Steve decided on a Gloria Jean’s Coffee house as his first franchise experience. He made his decision based on the brand’s high regard amongst consumers, and the fact it is a quality product, offered at an accessible price. A typical day on the job for Steve involves juggling business management as well as getting out behind the counter to ensure that high standards are constantly delivered.

Rachael Ifleid

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Castle Hill Homemaker, New South Wales

“I was looking to own my own business and wanted to be part of a well established, high profile brand. I was attracted to Gloria Jean’s Coffees as I already had a real love for the brand and knew that it would offer the recognition needed to be successful in my market. The support from the team at Operations is fantastic, and with two young kids I now have great flexibility in my lifestyle. I have built up my own team at the store who are fantastic – we are all part of the Gloria Jean’s Coffees family.”
